The 2014 Atlantic Challenge was held in the Morbihan, Brittany, France. As befits this part of France where there is a deep love of traditional boat building and sailing, there was great interest from the local people and other boat users. Events took place within the archipelago of the Morbihan, which kept the crews (and the events committee) on their toes as tides were strong and the wind changeable. The event was won by the Irish gig Unite, with the Russian gig Dignite in second place, GB and Integrite finished in third place overall with strong results in the Oars and Sail, Sailing and Passage Race events.
GB Crew: Gavin Sim, Ben Heaney, Amy Johnson, Laura Ellis, Eliza Bonsall, Vaila Hornsby, Catherine Ellis, Kate Stone, David Aston, Edward Tissiman, Susannah Tissiman, Maria Beattie, Annabel Heaney, Robert Stone, Nicholas Cokes, Dougie Brown, Chris Harding, Fraser Scott, Lawrence Clark, Rachael Innes.
